Choosing the right Professional Medical Scale
Professional medical scales are the right choice for a hospital, fitness center, gym, or physician's office. Choosing the right medical scale comes down to preference and intended use. Medical scales come in different sizes and styles with many different features. The classic balance beam scale is an upright mechanical bar scale that measures weight using a sliding calibrator. There are also digital scales that not only weigh the user but give other valuable information such as your body mass index or body fat . When selecting the proper model scale, the ideal selection would be a scale having a weighing capacity double of the typical weight being applied to the scale.  The reason for this is scales are designed with a loadcell and the inherent characteristic are such that the performance is much better in the 50% capacity verses the very top end of the weighing capacity.  So if your weighing people typically between 120 to 250 pounds we would recommend a 500 pound capacity scale.
